We’ve mentioned the development of Ginger numerous times in the past. It is the latest stage in the evolution of Netvibes, one of the premier startpage services on the Web today. Back in late 2007, we offered a first look at the more socially functional system of APIs. And this past March we brought you word of Ginger’s first public launch.
A little history of Ginger for the curious. As our own Kristen Nicole explained last November, Netvibes, while intending to maintain ties with the OpenSocial initiative, intended to launch its own APIs to establish a unique social widget platform atop its original business concept. Over the months, it has created a system that has essentially modernized its website as a whole. It has now effectively launching a new, more social and more evolved Netvibes.
