AccuWeather, an online weather service, has released the latest version of its weather badges for blogs. NetWeather 2.0 is available in six sizes, including one that's optimized for MySpace (it uses Flash, rather than a script). The widgets also come in eight colors. They can be set to display current conditions, the five-day forecast, a temperature map, and radar or precipitation maps for any US zipcode and locations worldwide. You can set the temperature to display as °C or °F, and a Spanish version is also available.

There's a signup form to fill in, but it seems to be optional - this is likely a good way to attract a few more newsletter subscribers without scaring off visitors who don't want to share their details. The codes also work on Piczo, hi5, Blogger and elsewhere, although some networks prevent the use of scripts - if in doubt, choose the MySpace version.

AccuWeather isn't the only weather site to embrace social networking - WeatherBug launched WeatherBug Video back in July - it's essentially a YouTube clone for meteorology. They also allow you to embed the clips on MySpace and blogs.
