Whether you've been waiting in line all morning at the Apple Store, or in your office for the FedEx guy to deliver your new iPad, the device is finally here.
Apple's latest reveal has been generating buzz on social media for months, and Apple's stock price even hit a staggering $600 this week.
The new 9.7-inch iPad boasts a 2048 x 1536-pixel retina display that makes "people, places, things and games look real enough to touch."
The sleek new device was revealed to the public earlier this month, and although it has not changed much in shape, size or color, it's what's on the inside that counts.
Using the same optics sensor in the iPhone 4S, the device has a 5-megapixel camera and 1080p video recording capabilities. It is powered by the A5X chip (with quad-core graphics) and supports 4G LTE networks, and as before, is available in black and white.

Photographers will also be happy to know that iPhoto is available for $4.99 for the iPad, which should allow for quick editing and sharing on the go. Other apps to receive iPad updates include iLife, iWork and Garage Band.
Wi-Fi only iPads cost $499 for 16 GB, $599 32 GB and $699 for 64 GB, while 4G versions cost $629 for 16 GB, $729 32 GB and $829 for 64 GB. The device is in stores starting today in the U.S., UK, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.
As for the iPad 2, the device will follow in the footsteps of iPhone 4 and stick around. The 16GB Wi-Fi-only iPad 2 will drop in price to $399.
If you didn't already pre-order the new iPad, there's now an estimated two to three week wait on shipping -- far less precise an estimate than previous iPads, indicating that Apple is struggling to cope with the demand.
