Thorsten Heins Takes the Reins at RIM

RIM Co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis have stepped away, making room for a new CEO: company insider and former COO Thorsten Heins. After a year of questionable decisions and less-than-stellar results for RIM, everyone wants to know whether Heins has got what it takes to turn the company around.

19% of U.S. Adults Own Tablets

Nineteen percent of adults in the United States own a tablet, and 29% own either a tablet or an ereader, according to the latest study from Pew Internet. The numbers are amazing when you take into account that they almost doubled - from 10% and 18%, respectively - since December.

Netflix Management Changes

Leslie Kilgore, Netflix's chief marketing officer for the past 12 years, will join the Netflix board as a non-executive director, the company has announced. Netflix has also appointed Jessie Becker interim chief marketing officer and Jonathan Friedland chief communications officer.
