The Daily Poll: What’s Your Primary Way of Consuming News Online?

[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]Google has jumped into the local news arena, adding an option to enter your zip code and get headlines from your region on Google News. Topix has offered this for years (as their CEO is quick to point out in a blog post), but moreso than increasing local news competition, the announcement got me thinking about how people consume news online. I use both Topix and Google News, but via my RSS reader where I subscribe to keywords for a variety of companies and trends that I follow closely. Although I don’t have all the numbers, I think with around 150k RSS subscribers and approximately 5 million monthly page views, it’s safe to say Mashable articles are read far more often in a location other than on our actual web site. So, I figured it’s time to do a poll of our reader’s news consumption habits:
