Best and Worst Teams in NFL Bicker Before Sunday Showdown

The Denver Broncos are the NFL's hottest team so far this season, undefeated at 5-0 while scoring a record 46 points per game. The Jacksonville Jaguars, meanwhile, are slogging through a terrible season at 0-5 while becoming a league laughingstock.

The two teams meet on Sunday. That promises to be a lopsided on-field matchup, with Vegas oddsmakers already setting a record-tying point-spread. The game will likely end up a boring blowout, but it's already produced some entertaining highlights on Twitter.

The first shot was fired by the Broncos' official account posted on Monday morning. Denver put up 51 points in a thrilling win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, leading to this analysis from the @DenverBroncos social media team:

The #Broncos' 51 points in yesterday's win are as many points as the Jaguars have scored all season.— Denver Broncos (@DenverBroncos) October 7, 2013

Not impressed by the comparison, the Jaguars soon tweeted back this Anchorman reference as a rebuttal:

Stay classy, Denver. RT @DenverBroncos: The #Broncos' 51 points in yesterday's win are as many points as the Jaguars have scored all season.— Jacksonville Jaguars (@jaguars) October 7, 2013

The Broncos played innocent, however, denying any malicious intent:

No shots, just stats. RT @jaguars: Stay classy, Denver. MT @DenverBroncos: #Broncos' 51 pts Sun. are as many as JAX has scored all season.— Denver Broncos (@DenverBroncos) October 7, 2013

Did the Broncos' tweet cross the line of good sportsmanship? Do these little Twitter spats help enhance the game? Give us your take in the comments.
