Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio is showing the world that being a mom and a successful international model are anything but mutually exclusive.

During a cover shoot for Elle Australia, the 29-year-old new mum began feeding her son Zion. Photographer Georges Antoni noticed the intimate moment and moved Trunfio in front of the lens.

“This wasn’t a contrived situation: Zion needed a feed, Nicole gave it to him, and when we saw how beautiful they looked we simply moved her onto the set,” Elle editor in chief Justine Cullen wrote in a post. "It was a completely natural moment that resulted in a powerful picture."

The resulting shot will only be on the cover of the subscriber copy of the June 2015 issue.

Trunfio gave birth to Zion with her fiancé, American musician Gary Clark, Jr., on Jan. 11, 2015. She teared up when she saw the photo, describing it to Elle as "such a special moment where my worlds have collided."

She also posted a message on Instagram to accompany the image and quiet down any judgement from critics: "There is nothing more powerful and beautiful than motherhood. The last thing I want to do is be controversial, so please take this for what it is ... there is nothing worse than a mother that is judged for feeding her hungry child in public."

Trunfio also clarified this is not what she normally looks like breastfeeeding. (Phew.)

The Western Australian-born model has worked with Versace, Chanel, Christian Dior and Gucci in the past, but those were no match for this shoot.

Following the cover shoot, #NormalizeBreastfeeding began trending on Twitter in support of Trunfio and public breastfeeding.

People are fine with billboards for strip clubs, but me modestly nursing my son in public is disgusting? #normalizebreastfeeding— Sara Gerardo (@SaraGerardo) May 22, 2015
