Nielsen/NetRatings announces today the release of their VideoCensus, an online video measurement service.
VideoCensus is the first syndicated online video measurement service that combines panel and census research methods to provide an end-to-end snapshot of audience, size, demographics, and competitive activity, among other metrics. VideoCensus uses two patented methods, including NetRatings' desktop meter and SiteCensus content-tagging technology. The code that video distributors can enable allows NetRatings to count the viewing activity, and the desktop meter further analyzes to provide more data on viewer engagement with specific channels, programs and clips.
