NileGuide is a new travel site that allows you to create custom trips based on recommendations and the trips that others have already planned. In browsing the site, you have the ability to add particular items to your own folder so you can use these items to plan a trip later on. Most items are broken down into various categories like restaurants, activities, lodging, etc.
From this perspective, it's fairly easy to create a trip according to your preferences. From the other direction, however, the trip planning process isn't quite as simple. Without any items saved in your preference folder or items that you've already created, you're not left with much. There's no omnipresent search tool for finding items to add to your trip within the trip-planning process. And while you can rate items and trips added by others, there's no trusted user capability as you cannot access individual profiles.
