Get ready for more Nine Inch Nails.

Frontman Trent Reznor tweeted Frday that there would be "new NIN coming out in 2016. Other stuff, too." It's his third ever tweet, despite having his account since 2008. Not a bad way to spend it.

NIN's last project was the critically acclaimed 2013 album Hesitation Marks, which was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album Grammy Award.

Reznor has also been busy in the meantime, creating the soundtrack for Gone Girl, the Oscar-nominated thriller directed by David Fincher, and won a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. Reznor is a longtime collaborator of Fincher's, also creating the soundtrack for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network, for which he won an an Oscar for Best Original Score.

He also has a hand in Apple Music, helping design the Beats 1 radio platform. He was previously the chief creative officer at Beats Music before it was acquired by Apple.

In a June interview with Rolling Stone, he also hinted at new music he's crafting for NIN.

"It's not for a thing, it's not a record I'm trying to finish in a month," he says. "It's more just feeling around in the dark and seeing what sounds interesting. It's nice to do that every few years to try and reinvent and discover and try to learn about yourself and what feels exciting to you as an artist."

Guess we'll hear it next year.
