The just-launched accessories are designed by a gaming gear company called dreamGEAR, and almost all of them are available from Best Buy and Toys 'R Us right now. They include control styluses modeled after Elmo and the Cookie Monster, stick-on decals featuring characters from the show, and kids' backpacks designed to carry any Nintendo DS model, including the plus-sized DS XL.
DreamGEAR says it plans to release some cute Elmo headphones too. These are all pretty silly, but they could be good gift ideas for the gaming munchkins in your family. The styluses and decals are $12.99 each; the backpacks ("Mini Game Packs") are priced at $16.99; and, when they become available, the headphones will cost $24.99.
