Nintendo Wii U Coming to Japan This December

Nintendo's Wii U gaming console will become available in Japan on Dec. 8 at a starting price of 26,250 yen ($338), company president Satoru Iwata announced via Nintendo Direct's video stream.

That's the price for the basic set, which has 8GB of storage and comes only in white.

The black, premium set, which offers 32GB of storage memory, also brings a ton of extra goodies: the GamePad, a charging stand, play stand and an additional stand for the console, as well as two power adapters and an HDMI cable. It costs 31,500 yen ($405).

Both consoles will have 1GB of RAM for main operation, plus another 1GB for games.
