Nivranix, a player in the so-called “cloud computing” space, is upping the ante in a bid to lure Amazon S3 customers. The company has announced a “fee holiday,” in which new uploads from rival services will be hosted free for 30 days on the Nirvanix's Storage Delivery Network. Additionally, Nirvanix is offering a migration tool specifically for customers that want to move over from Amazon S3.
How much savings does this 30 day fee holiday translate to? Jonathan Buckley of Nirvanix explains:
“For a company with just 50 Terabytes of archived data, for instance, this holiday can mean a setup savings of well over $9,000 to move to the world’s fastest, most reliable cloud storage platform in the world.”
