The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is announcing a content deal today with YouTube.

The agreement will allow users to watch weekly highlights of National Lacrosse games, player interviews, and behind the scenes clips from the official NLL Brand Channel on YouTube. This branded channel will enable fans easy access NLL content in a centralized location within a largely popular community. The NLL is also launching the "NLL Lax it Up on YouTube" Group for lacrosse fans to submit video clips of their own, displaying their best trick shots, passes and lacrosse moves.

The hope for the NLL deal with YouTube is to provide an interactive space for lacrosse fans around the world, as well as easier and broader access to their own lacrosse content. Several others, especially in the sports realm, have partnered with YouTube for content distribution and branded channels and groups. MySpace has joined the bandwagon with its recent partnership to exclusively distribute Rip Curl action board sports content.
