Nokia Reportedly Delays Lumia 1520 Launch After Microsoft Deal

Nokia's Lumia 1520 (codenamed Bandit) will see the light of day a few weeks later than expected, Reuters reports citing sources familiar with the company's plans.

The largest Lumia so far, though officially unannounced, is rumored to have a screen larger than 5 inches and a 20-megapixel PureView camera.

According to Reuters' sources, the Lumia 1520 was supposed to launch in New York later this month, but the launch has been pushed back several weeks in the wake of Nokia's deal with Microsoft.

Microsoft announced in early September it plans to acquire Nokia's devices and services business, plus its patent portfolio, for $7.2 billion. The deal hasn't yet been closed, so Nokia and Microsoft are still operating as separate companies.

Reuters' sources did not give an exact date for the new Lumia launch; according to @evleaks, though, it could happen on October 22.
