Nokia Launches Windows Phones, Sprint Narrows Losses and More: Today's Top Stories

Nokia Unveils Windows & Symbian Smartphones

Nokia has unveiled its first Windows Phone device, Lumia 800, which our Christina Warren believes could be "the best Windows Phone yet." The company also unveiled a second-tier Windows Phone, four Symbian smartphones and a slew of new apps.

Sprint Narrows Losses

Sprint net losses narrowed to $301 million, or 10 cents a share, for the third quarter, beating analysts' forecasts. Although the quarter didn't include iPhone sales, the company said the device "resulted in Sprint’s best ever day of sales in retail, web and telesales."

Amazon Down 12% After Earnings

Amazon‘s stock was down 12% in premarket trading Tuesday after the company’s third quarter net income missed analysts’ estimates.
