Notifir Social News Tracker Enters Public Beta

Notifir, the "Digg tracker" that Kristen reviewed earlier this month while it was in private beta, is launching publicly today. So if you were keen to test it, you can now. From her original Notifir review:

Notifir is an upcoming service that lets you track and manage some of your social bookmarking accounts from one central location. Currently, only Digg is supported...From your account dashboard, you can view submissions that are coming through your various social bookmarking sites. You can see at a glance how many times its been voted on, a link to the original source, the number of comments, when it was submitted, under which category its been filed, and its current status (upcoming, etc.). Then you can filter through all of these. View the submissions from the top 100 users, or by your friends. You can also choose to see only the upcoming stories, or those that are being submitted by users that have befriended (or are following) you.

Even excusing an interface that only a mother could love, I'm not totally sold: surely you can do much of this on the source sites? What Notifir adds is the ability to round up your friends and ask them to vote on your stories in a co-ordinated way: something that's generally frowned upon.
