The National Rifle Association is scheduled to give its first news conference since last week's tragic massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., at 10:45 a.m. ET Friday.

The NRA broke a four-day silence on Tuesday when it first announced the news conference via Twitter. In its announcement, the pro-gun lobby promised "meaningful contributions" to "make sure this never happens again," referencing the Sandy Hook shooting.

You can watch the conference live above. There have been some reports it has been delayed until 11 a.m. ET, so please be patient if it doesn't begin promptly on schedule.
