If New York Jets fans can get away with it, nuns can, too.

During Pope Francis' visit to Washington, D.C., this week, several nuns were spotted tailgating from the back of a van in the parking lot of the Catholic University of America in the nation's capital ahead of Mass on Wednesday.

If you just swapped out their chips and sandwiches for wings and beer, it's not hard to see the similarities between these nuns and, say, hardcore Oakland Raiders fans.

While we can't know for sure, we'd like to imagine these nuns have a series of large cardboard cutouts spelling out "Francis" and "Defense" or something.
