Okay, Nutella is really tasty, but it's probably not worth elder abuse.

On Tuesday, a 24-year-old man named Derrick Gharabighi was charged with elder abuse in Burbank, California after punching a 78-year-old Costco shopper in the face — because the elderly shopper accused him of taking too many Nutella samples.

Gharabighi had supposedly taken all of the Nutella samples from the station when the older man confronted him. The shopper told Gharabighi that he had wanted a sample too (unsurprisingly so, since everyone on Earth deserves the right to Nutella samples). Apparently, the comment enraged Gharabighi so much that he punched the other shopper in the face.

Following the incident, Burbank police officer Cindy Guillen said that the older man had been hospitalized with swelling and a one-inch cut over his eye.

If convicted, Gharabighi could face 11 years in prison, according to news reports.
