President Obama became the first sitting president to visit Kenya this weekend, a trip that is close to home for the president, whose father hailed from the African nation. During the visit, Obama called on Kenya to change the way it treats women and members of the LGBT community.

Next for the president is a few days in Ethiopia -- again the first sitting president to visit -- before returning to D.C. on Tuesday. Obama has made two previous trips to Africa during his two terms: a 2009 trip to Ghana, and a 2013 trip that included visits to South Africa, Tanzania and Senegal.
