President Barack Obama addressed the nation via YouTube Wednesday to explain his side of the fiscal cliff debate and what the results mean for every taxpayer.
In the video, Obama said the United States is finally asking "the wealthiest Americans to contribute and pay their fair share." He also argues it has always been his "priority to deter from tax hikes," especially for the middle class.
Overall, Obama declares the fiscal cliff agreements as true progress for the nation and said it has created "a more progressive tax code" than the country has seen "in decades."
