We're pretty sure President Obama won't be lining up for the new iPhone anytime soon -- it seems the POTUS is thoroughly "befuddled" by the Apple device.
During a campaign trip to Florida on Sunday, President Obama wanted to personally call and thank two particular volunteers for a job well done. White House trip director Marvin Nicholson passed the President an iPhone to make the call, but the Commander-in-Chief was at a loss for the next step.
| Obama Chooses Steve Jobs Over Google"Oh, I got to dial it in. Hold on, hold on. I can do this. See, I still have a BlackBerry," the President said, according to Politico journalist Reid Epstein's comment in a pool report.
But the iPhone stood its ground, refusing to yield to the President. And Obama, in turn, jokingly blamed Nicholson for having an insufficient cellphone plan, says a Washington Times blog.
Obama finally mastered the fine art of the iPhone dial-pad and was able to contact both volunteers, but it seems like his loyalty to his faithful BlackBerry will remain in tact after the experience.
Not all Apple devices seem to perplex the President -- During a recent Reddit interview, the President proved his identity to readers by posting a picture of himself. People were interested to see Obama typing away on an Mac, scoring a powerful point for Apple in the long-waging battle between PC and Mac users.
