Obama on Syria Strike: This Would Not Be a Repetition of Iraq

Obama spoke on PBS NewsHour about the decision he faces regarding Syria. President Bashar al-Assad’s confirmed use of chemical weapons leaves Obama to decide if a military strike against Syria is the best answer to al-Assad's recent actions.

"There is the prospect, a possibility, in which chemical weapons that can have devastating effects could be directed at us," Obama said.

The President also acknowledged concerns that this attack would start another drawn-out war like Iraq. He said "limited, tailored approaches" would prevent a similar situation.
