SAN FRANCISCO -- Oculus, the Facebook-owned virtual reality company, is ready to take the wraps off its new consumer product at its special event Thursday.

What does it look like, and how do they differ from the Oculus Rift prototype -- the hefty goggles that famously left its users looking a little slack-jawed? What's the price tag?
