Thursday is going to be a big day for virtual reality fans and onlookers alike, as Oculus VR holds its first ever press conference.

The makers of the Oculus Rift headset are devoting two hours to showing off something -- whether that be a new prototype headset, the actual, final version of the headset itself, or some other virtual reality accessory.

Mashable deputy editor Chris Taylor, tech reporter JP Mangalindan and software lead Karissa Bell are attending the event. You can follow them all on Twitter, and we'll be liveblogging the whole thing, too, so you can get insight on what Oculus VR's announcements mean for the future of virtual reality.

The company is also hosting a stream on its Twitch channel, which you can watch live right here:

The press conference, which is being held in San Francisco, begins at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
