Ohio-based clown Ron Fowler, also known as The Flower Clown, is putting his skills to good use and keeping kids' spirits up in the aftermath of the Nepal earthquake.

This week Fowler uploaded a video of himself entertaining some children in Bhaktapur, Nepal, by making delightful balloon animals.

Fowler was traveling in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur in Nepal for the last two and a half months on a business trip, accompanied by his wife, Stacy, and his daughter, Millie. He was there to custom design and build balloon bags.

Then the magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit on Saturday.

Fowler said on Facebook that he and his family survived the earthquake uninjured, but they were witnessing the devastation firsthand. Fowler has uploaded several updates on how he and his neighbors are doing, plus photos and videos of the damage in his area.

He details his personal experience in the earthquake in a clip he titled "My story." In the video, he says he "felt a wiggle" before the earthquake, adding, "that's not a truck, I knew it was an earthquake. I've always thought there was going to be an earthquake here."

According to Fowler's updates on Facebook, he and his family safely returned to the United States on Tuesday.

Mashable has reached out to Fowler for comment, and is waiting for his response.
