OkCupid.com, a free online dating site, has announced the launch of its quiz application for Facebook. Once completed, the OkCupid Dating Quiz gives you your personality type and allows you to add it to your Facebook profile. Next week, the application will expand to allow users to take any of OkCupid's 30,000 relationship and lifestyle quizzes and compare results with others.
OKCupid claims more than 500,000 active users that have taken their quizzes more than 30 million total times. They use data from quizzes to match users together, much like eHarmony, but for free. Quizzes are already popular with much of the Facebook demographic, so it will be interesting to see whether OkCupid can get the dating angle of them to take hold, or if their quizzes prove to be just another mildly entertaining application.
