A massive tornado struck a residential neighborhood in Moore, Okla., near Oklahoma City, Monday afternoon. The cyclone destroyed homes, schools and commercial buildings. The total cost in terms of property damage and human life remains unknown.
Photos of the Oklahoma tornado quickly spread on social media, along with livestreams of news helicopter footage and warning messages for those in the storm's path. Twitter users from around the country also sent messages of support for anybody affected by the tornado.
