While parent company Procter & Gamble has tied into the Summer Olympics with tear-jerker ads featuring mothers of athletes, Old Spice has taken its own unique approach.
The ad above features a skinny guy who is using self-help tapes to better himself, a theme the brand introduced back in April. But now the protagonist is an Olympics hero as well -- one who emerges from the Olympic pool with copious gold medals and facial hair. The 30-second ad even follows our hero to his death, where his legend is maintained via a branded line of table crackers.
