Waking up to a warm kitten napping on your chest: cute. Waking up to a warm rainforest animal napping on your chest: terrifying.
That horrifying scenario is what happened to a 99-year-old Miami woman, who awoke on Tuesday to the sight of a kinkajou resting on top of her, CBS Miami reports.
After the frightened animal fled to the woman's attic, the woman's daughter and a friend were able to lure it from the home and take it to a local veterinary office.
Kinkajou are mammals closely related to the raccoon, and are often found living in Central and South American forests.
This kinkajou in particular is the pet of a South Florida resident, who had planned to pick the animal up on Wednesday, according to the local news station.
