It's a tale as old as time -- boy meets girl, girl falls for boy and boy is actually One Direction's Harry Styles.

The Hollywood Reporter broke news that Paramount will adapt erotic writer Anna Todd's book of One Direction fan-fiction for the big screen.

Susan McMartin, who is currently a writer and producer for the CBS comedy show Mom, is signed on as the screenwriter.

The novel After follows an innocent college student named Tessa who falls for her long-haired classmate named Hardin. (Harry for short, of course.) The book went viral on the online Wattpad community, reaching more than 1 billion reads, and was later picked up by Gallery books.

Producers Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman are set to follow the trend of twisting the whims of teen pop culture enthusiasts into a major motion picture, this time taking a more PG-13 approach than Fifty Shades of Grey.
