The 2nd Annual Open Web Awards is now only a week away, November 5th. Once the nominations process opens, Mashable and our Blog Partners will release nominations widgets in the 26 categories provided by PollDaddy. To nominate a site, all you do is 1. Choose the category 2. Enter the Site/App your are nominating 3. Enter your e-mail address 4. Hit submit.
PollDaddy will be securing the nominations and voting process with e-mail based confirmation and IP analysis. Nominations and Voting will be one vote per category. Nominees and Finalists for "People's Choice" Winners will be whomever has the most nominations/votes per category (based on analyzed data after the close of each round).
50+ International Blog Partners and Growing
So far there are 50+ Blog Partners that include 15 countries and 7 Languages (applications are still open). Each Blog Partner will have one vote per category to decide the "Blogger's Choice" Winners.
The Open Web Awards is about sharing the process with the Web and blogosphere. Therefore, this year we are aiming to more than double the amount of blog partners involved. The requirements are minimal. If you are a blogger and would like to participate please fill out the Blog Partner Application.
