In the Web 2.0 world, we're always talking about openness and transparency. We like companies that blog. We like bloggers who blog their finances. But how transparent do companies need to be? Snap is an ultra-transparent search engine. They reveal all their financial statistics on their main site - and it looks like they aren't doing so well right now... -- Total searches are down -- Paid clicks are down -- Revenue per click is flat What's more, at $100 per day they can't even employ a coder full time. And what about the advertisers? Why would you agree to display your ads on Snap if you know beforehand that they won't get many views? [via GotAds]
