Blog readers will be happy to hear that Opera Mini 3.0 also includes an RSS reader that lets you add your favorite news feeds directly in the browser. Other new features include secure connections for banking, shopping and checking your webmail (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail and the rest), faster surfing and a feature they call "content folding" - collapsing long lists of menu items on websites to save scrolling.
Opera Mini is free, although obviously you'll need an Internet data plan for access. Opera claim that there are now 8 million Opera users who have surfed more than 2 billion pages. The browser also comes pre-installed on some phones from T-Mobile and Telefonica Moviles.
Update: There's now a press release on the Opera site.
