Orangutag Is For Couch Potatoes, Not Monkeys

Orangutag isn't a site for monkeys, but for couch potatoes. It's a niche RSS tool that gives you updates on television programs you'd like to keep track of. Now, if you love a show enough, you are likely aware of the basics about a television show, but Orangutag brings more information to give you up to date information about your favorite programs, notes Profy.

For each show that you follow, you'll also be able to break it down into episodes. Mark the ones you've seen, and subsequently you'll be able to see which ones you've missed, by power of deduction. When you view the details of a particular episode, you'll see that this has a user-generated element, that allows users to add their own reviews to Orangutag. There's a bit of social networking involved, which lets you layer in different RSS feeds for following other users' watchlists, or their activity on the site.

While this can be used as some level of recommendation, the personalization options stop there. Without many outside resources, there's little connection between the shows you're watching and other sites across the web. This limits the amount of action users can take online in the actual interaction with their favorite shows.
