Though Oreo is endlessly updating its list of limited-edition flavors, the cookie remains the same.

But now the cookie itself is getting a makeover with an upcoming new product: Oreo Thins.

This permanent new product Oreo's thinnest sandwich cookie ever at just 7.5 millimeters thick, which is five millimeters thinner than the classic Oreo. It joins the ranks of the original Oreo, the Double Stuf Oreo and the Mega Stuf Oreo.

We asked Mashable staffers to taste test the new cookie and share their thoughts, which we've compiled below:

"They feel really gourmet."

"Some of these are pretty broken up already."

"They're as easy to pull apart as a normal Oreo."

"There's a shocking amount of broken cookie pieces left at the bottom of this empty package."

"I think they're easier to nibble on [than the classic Oreo]. Less crumbly."

"I'd rather eat the Mega Stuf than these."

Oreo first shared Thins with Chinese consumers in 2014 before deciding to sell them in the United States this year. These crispy little cookies will come in Original, Golden and Mint flavors, and will hit supermarket shelves nationwide on July 13.
