A Cappella Group Gives Popular Wedding Song a Rap Twist [VIDEO]

A 10-man a cappella group has put a new spin on popular wedding song "Pachelbel's Canon," infusing it with rapper Nelly's 2001 hit single, "Ride Wit Me."

Behold "Pachanelly Canon," the beautifully hip mashup from Gentleman's Rule, which unveiled the tune in an elaborate video featuring a fictitious wedding ceremony and reception.

"Even though nobody actually got married, the day we shot the video felt like we were at an actual wedding -- it was a family affair," baritone Will Lockhart told Mashable.

Gentleman's Rule's creative director Dan Ponce arranged the mashup and conceived the video with an assist from Winky Productions. The Chicago-based group's first LP will come out in the fall and will include a cappella covers of songs from Stevie Wonder, Adele, The Rolling Stones and more.
