Definitely worth a mention: the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which helps people living with paralysis and their caregivers, is launching a social network on Wednesday.

The Paralysis Community provides profile pages, blogs, forums, surveys and networks of friends. Like all health sites, you can guarantee that the forums will be the most active area: it's a shame these are sometimes forgotten on modern social networks.

The site is powered by ClinicaHealth, which sets up ad-free social networks for all kinds of medical conditions and groups. Great idea, and the software seems pretty good too.
