Jesse Draper is creator and host of The Valley Girl Show, through which she's become a spokesperson for startups and helped pioneer the way of new media content distribution. Formerly a Nickelodeon star, Draper is now CEO of Valley Girl‚ where she oversees the show and runs technology blog Lalawag.com.
On the episode of the Valley Girl Show, Jesse Draper sits down with Sam Friedman and Alex Israel, founders of ParkMe, the real-time parking app that's sweeping the nation.
Starting in Santa Monica and working their way out, Friedman and Israel successfully created a map of all the parking lots and garages in the greater Los Angeles area. Now ParkMe recently partnered up with TomTom to provide location information for more than 16,000 parking spaces across the United States.
The team created the ParkMe app to make parking easy and "not a pain." According to Friedman, 30-50% of urban traffic congestion is due to drivers searching for a parking space.
