The starship Enterprise has landed in Pawnee.
Cartoonist and writer Neill Cameron's art series, Parks and Trek, mashes up characters from the NBC series Parks and Recreation with Star Trek commanders. While Cameron is an accomplished graphic novelist, known for his work on the children's comic The Phoenix, his ongoing series can be found entirely on Twitter.

"All I know for sure is that ever since [the conversation], the image of Ron Swanson dressed up as Riker with his leg up on a chair has been burned into my brain, and I finally had to get it out," Cameron told Mashable.
Cameron has drawn just a handful of fan favorites from the show so far, such as Leslie Knope (played by Amy Poehler) dressed as Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Ron Swanson (played by Nick Offerman) as Commander William Riker. Former Star Trek: The Next Generation star Wil Wheaton has also tweeted to Cameron in hopes of seeing his character, Wesley, in the series.

A lifelong Trekkie and Parks and Recreation fan, Cameron's secret for making the quirky cartoons was very simple for any fan who wanted to pay homage to their favorite show.
"I have a thing I use in my workshops with kid ... called the Principle of Awesomeness, which goes: thing that is awesome + thing that is awesome = thing that is totally super awesome," he said.
