Fittingly enough, the Web is flowing with appreciation for what he gave his audience. The man has clearly left his mark. So in light of this weekend’s events, we bring together items in tribute to this historied presence and hallmark of the big screen.
Now, I for one can’t attest to having seen everything he did. “The Verdict,” “Road to Perdition,” and “Cars,” in which he did voiceover work are what I remember as having watched beginning to end. I recall some moments from “Cool Hand Luke” and “The Color of Money.” (He won an Oscar for Best Actor for the latter.) Nonetheless, those features I did witness, either in full or in part, were remarkable.
