In 1962, actor Paul Newman was 37 years old and fresh off the major critical and commercial success surrounding his Oscar-nominated role in The Hustler. He had three young children from a previous marriage, and was four years into his marriage to fellow actor and occasional co-star Joanne Woodward. On Wednesday, April 4, a photographer for the New York Daily News visited the A-list couple at their home in Beverly Hills, hanging out with them as they unpacked lightbulbs, lounged on the couch and meditated on a tricycle.
