Veteran musician Paul Simon and his longtime wife, Edie Brickell, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Saturday at their home in New Canaan, Conn., police said Monday.
Police officers arrived on scene at 8:20 p.m. to investigate a family dispute, finding "probable cause to arrest" 72-year-old Simon and 48-year-old fellow musician Brickell, the town's Police Chief Leon Krolikowski said in a statement given to Mashable.

Simon and Brickell, who have been married since 1992 and have three children together, were released after promising to appear in court on Monday.
No further details about the incident were available on Monday.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, Simon is well-known for such songs as "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," "Still Crazy After All These Years," "You Can Call Me Al," "Mother and Child Reunion" and "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes.
Brickell's repertoire includes fronting jam band Edie Brickell & New Bohemians. Her latest solo album, Love Has Come For You, came out in 2013.
