'PBS: The Movie' Is a Speedy Delivery of Superheroes

Someone must save America from the mind-zapping effects of terrible television. The press and schmoozing required to promote The Avengers has Iron Man, The Hulk and Captain America busy through summer, so who will step up?

America, meet your new superheroes: Fred Rogers, Bob Ross, Carl Sagan and Bill Nye.

PBS: The Movie imagines public television's biggest stars as friendly superheroes out to rescue the world from inane entertainment. Sure, a zip cardigan might not have the panache of a cape, but no one dares mess with Mister Rogers' beautiful day in the neighborhood.
