This is one way to interpret the phrase "ride of your life."

On Wednesday's episode of the Science Channel's All-American Makers, a Shark Tank-esque series for tech innovators, the show's experts are put in the hot seat of the Raht Racer, "a pedal-powered electric vehicle" that, it's designers say, has the ability to reach 70 miles per hour.

Or so they're told.

In the sneak peek above, one of the show's panelists, Brook Drumm, takes the "bicycle alternative" for a test drive, with promising results.

To see how it turns out for inventors Rich Kronfeld and Lyon Smith, watch the season finale of All-American Makers on Wednesday at 10 p.m. on the Science Channel.
