New York Comic Con is a mecca for super fans. The living dead mingled with super humans, with a couple Groots thrown in for good measure among a reported 151,000 attendees, surpassing San Diego Comic Con as the largest pop culture convention in North America.
United in fandom and dangerously high body temperatures, the superheroes of NYCC each have their own unique story about why they cosplay, what brought them to the convention and how they want the world to see them.
