Stop-motion filmmaker PES uses his latest short film as an imaginative journey through the art of building the perfect sandwich.
"Submarine Sandwich" features no ordinary bread, meat and cheese sandwich. It's made from rounds of lace, slices of a football, deconstructed Slinkies, shredded newspaper -- the list goes on and on in this magical short film.
This isn't the stop-motion artist's first food-on-film experiment. His short flick "Western Spaghetti" has collected 16.9 million views since 2008, and in 2013, his highly GIF-able "Fresh Guacamole" was nominated for a Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
