Viral Live finally caught up with Pete Cashmore the other day at SXSWi, and got him to sit down for a while and talk about Mashable. He talked a little bit about the background and makeup of Mashable, mostly for the benefit of the ten or so folks left in the world who don't read us ;) There's also quite a bit of meat in the interview, though, for those of you who are Mashable regulars. He talks about some Mashable history, some on the evolution of the site, and a bit on the fundamental problem Pete has with authority figures.
There's also some quick off the cuff descriptions of SocialThing, FriendFeed, and Drop.io, a couple of Pete's personal favorite rare finds at the moment.
