Photobucket Finally (kind of) Integrated with MySpace

MySpace, today, finally got around to integrating Photobucket's sytems into the core functionality of the social network.  MySpace users can now easily add images from their Photobucket in to comments on other users' profiles.

Users simply log in to their MySpace account and go to make a comment on a friend's profile. In the comment editor, there is a hyperlink to "Add image from Photobucket," which brings up an embedded Photobucket login widget.

Then the user simply clicks the photo of their choice, and it is embedded into the comment. Look for many more LOLcat and TGIF images in your immediate future.

What baffles me is why they've not integrated the logins yet, at this point.  Flektor has been a part of the FIM collective for far shorter time than Photobucket, and they're integrated. MySpace has owned Photobucket for some time now, and it's puzzling as to why they'd add the extra inconvenience of having to log in a second time once the user is already within the MySpace system.
